About Us
The Milk N Kookies Show is
broadcasted weekly with hosts Koffeekid Smalls, Yuki Eliot and Sage
Kostembaum. This kid based show features news and events from the kid
community, interviews with kids who are of special interest to the
neighbourhood and even live entertainment from some of the best musical acts
in Second Life.
In
April 2008, the premier episode of the Milk N Kookies show began to take
form as Yuki Eliot and Koffeekid Smalls brainstormed on how to accomplish
live radio in Second Life. Together, they managed to take their
concept of the show into a reality in less than week. On April 18th
2008 the show began to broadcast their first episode. At the beginning
of August, Sage Kostenbaum was invited to join the show as the first female
co-host. Her debut show aired on August 9th 2008, and she has been a
positive addition to the team.
With no prior radio experience both hosts were
grasping to learn and understand the intricate nuiances of being radio hosts
in a virtual world. Aiming their target audience to the often
misunderstood group of kid avatars they discovered a built in audience of
kids who enjoyed hearing news, events and topics that were of importance and
interest to their community.
As kids began to rally
support behind the show, it grew from a small venue to a massive recognition
of talent featuring some of the best live performers in Second Life.
They continue to strive for their goal of a 24 hour radio network for kids
in Second Life.
